Facebook Audience Network Connector

Intro

Facebook Audience Network  is a service that improves a business’s ability to engage people via highly targeted ads. With the Facebook Audience Network connector, you’ll be able to fine-tune specific marketing metrics (like estimated click rate and estimated revenue). To learn more about the Facebook Audience Network API, visit their page (https://developers.facebook.com/docs...reporting-api/).

You connect to Facebook Audience Network account in the Data Center using your Facebook credentials. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Facebook Audience Network connector user interface. General information for adding DataSets, setting update schedules, and editing DataSet information is discussed in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Prerequisites

To connect to your Facebook Audience Network account and create a DataSet, you must have Facebook credentials. You will need an account that has admin privileges for your business. If you are not an admin for your business, ask your Business Manager Admin to add you to the properties that you would like to get access to.

Connecting to Your Facebook Audience Network Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes in the Facebook Audience Network Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, Scheduling and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in greater length in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Credentials Pane

The Domo Facebook Audience Network connector uses OAuth to connect, so there is no need to enter credentials within Domo. Click Connect (or select Add Account if you have existing Facebook accounts in Domo) to open the Facebook OAuth screen where you can enter your Facebook credentials. Once you have entered valid Facebook credentials, you can use the same account any time you go to create a new Facebook Audience Network DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Managing User Accounts for Connectors.

Note: If you are already logged into Facebook when you connect in Domo, you are authenticated automatically when you click Add account. If you want to connect to an account that is different from the one you are logged into, you must first log out of Facebook.

Details Pane

This pane contains a primary Reports menu, along with various other menus which may or may not appear depending on the report type you select.

FAQs

How do I know my login credentials are secure?

The login process uses the OAuth process, so your Facebook credentials are never seen or stored by Domo. You can revoke Domo's access to your account at any time.

Do I need a certain kind of Facebook account to set up the connector?

You will need an account that has admin privileges for your business. If you are not an admin for your business, ask your Business Manager Admin to add you to the properties that you would like to get access to.

How often can the data be updated?

DataSets should be set to update once a day.

Are there any API limits I should be aware of?

Facebook limits the number of calls that can be made each hour for each user. As long as you don't run the DataSet too often, the connector manages this for you.
